Flanged Post to Concrete Slab

Freestanding Skillion and Pitched Structures – Post Footings Rule

Updated over 3 months ago
  • In a freestanding structure up to 50% of the posts can be flanged.

  • Flanged posts can be 75mm, 90mm or 100mm.

  • The remaining posts must be into footings or core drilled and must be diagonally opposite the flanged posts.

  • Flanged posts can only be used if the uplift on the slab is satisfactory (130mm edge thickness normal wind, 150mm edge thickness cyclonic).

  • Post on deck, joist, or trimmer, or using an internal connector on a slab allowed for attached structures only.
