  • Navigate to Shapes & Dimensions and open ADD / MODIFY CUTOUTS.

  • Locate the region you want your cut-out and choose “Custom”.

  • A pop-up with an explanation on how to define a custom cut-out will appear – keep reading here if you need clarification.

The custom cut-out method is clearest when the view in Shapes and dimensions is the Outline only.

  • Open your Display Options, and under 2D Display Options, turn off the last option “Show Full Layout in Shape / Dimensions”.

    1. Look at the overall shape of the cut out and determine the overall dimensions, the number of segments and the location of your points.

    2. Determine the X and Y coordinates of the Points.

    3. The X coordinate is the distance left or right.

In the diagram below:

  • The first point position is the distance from the left side of the structure to the point at the end of the first segment.

  • Point A X:450 Y:400.

  • Point B’s position is now the X and Y coordinates from Point A.

  • Point B X:600 Y:-300.
