How To: Modify The Appearance of Text on The Plans

Using the Labels on Plans feature

In some instances, the labels on plans may overlap, depending on the complexity of the structure.

There are a couple of ways to change the look of the labels on the plan:

Method 1

Change the Information displayed on the Plan.

  • Open “Display Options” at the bottom of the workspace.

Group 9, Grouped object

  • This will bring up the Display Options tab on the right-hand side of the screen, which offers a range of changes you can make to how the structure is seen on the 2D and the 3D models.

  • Navigate down to the 2D Display Options and use the slider to decrease Text Size.

Or

  • Turn off Beam Length – this will reduce the amount of information on the plan.

Method 2

Move the labels on the Plan:

  • Scroll down in the Properties tab to “Other Tools” at the bottom.

Select “Adjust Labels”

Group 8, Grouped object
  • Left click and hold on the label you need moved.

  • Drag the label to a better position.

  • Right click or escape to exit the window.
