How To: Move and Change Text on the Plan

Updated over 3 months ago

When there is a lot of information on a design, the labels on the components may overlap.

The first option for making the text easier to read is the ADJUST LABELS tool.

This allows you to move labels around so the information on the plan is clear.

  • Navigate down to the bottom of the Properties Tab under Beams and Posts to find OTHER TOOLS.

Select the drop-down arrow and choose ADJUST LABELS.

  • With this function you can select and drag any label and position it where you want.

Once you are happy with your label position, Right click to exit the function.

The second option for changing how the plan looks is to alter the 2D Display properties.

  • Open the DISPLAY OPTIONS Tab at the bottom of the Workspace

Text size can be changed to alter the appearance of the labels

  • Decrease the text size to allow more information to fit in the space

  • Beam Lengths can be removed to reduce the amount of information on the plan

  • Navigate down to Show Beam Lengths and toggle Off
